How to get into Cricket

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of 11 players each on a field at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch. The game is played by 120 million players in many countries, making it the world’s second most popular sport.

Get into Football

Football is a number of sports that involve kicking a ball with the foot to score a goal.

Enjoy Hockey

A form of hockey played on a concrete, 4G or grass pitch with a hard rubber ball. A team sport for KS2.

Try Tennis

A sport played by two players (or four in doubles), who alternately strike the ball over a net using racquets.

Play Rugby

A sport where players can hold or kick an ovoid ball. The ball cannot be handled forwards and points are scored by touching the ball to the ground in the area past their opponent’s territory or kicking the ball between goalposts and over a crossbar.

Enjoy Swimming

The activity of moving oneself through water using one’s arms and legs while buoyed up by the water, carried out by humans for amusement, exercise, sport or entertainment. A term lesson in Year 4 only.
